Modern Slavery Statement for Man with Van Hampton Hill
This Modern Slavery Statement is made on behalf of Man with Van Hampton Hill in respect of the financial year to which it relates. It sets out the steps we are taking to identify, prevent, and address the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking within our operations and supply chains.
Our Commitment and Zero-Tolerance Policy
Man with Van Hampton Hill is committed to conducting all aspects of our business ethically, responsibly, and in full compliance with applicable laws. We have a zero-tolerance policy towards all forms of modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, child labour, servitude, and any associated exploitation.
We expect everyone who works for and with us to share this commitment. This expectation applies to our employees, agency workers, contractors, subcontractors, and all suppliers who contribute to the provision of our man and van services, including vehicle procurement, fuel, equipment, storage, and ancillary support services.
Our Business and Supply Chains
Man with Van Hampton Hill provides local and regional transportation, removal, and delivery services. Our primary supply chains include vehicle and equipment suppliers, maintenance and repair providers, fuel suppliers, packaging material suppliers, and occasional use of labour agencies for additional support.
While we consider our business to be at relatively low risk of modern slavery, we recognise that risk can exist in any supply chain. We are committed to understanding those risks and taking proportionate, effective measures to address them.
Supplier Standards and Due Diligence
We aim to work only with suppliers and partners who uphold standards consistent with our own. As part of our due diligence process, we communicate our zero-tolerance stance and seek confirmation that suppliers comply with all relevant labour and human rights legislation and have their own measures in place to prevent modern slavery.
New suppliers are assessed on their ability to meet our ethical and compliance expectations. Where appropriate, we request information about their policies, procedures, and training relating to modern slavery and human trafficking.
Supplier Audits and Ongoing Monitoring
Man with Van Hampton Hill is developing and implementing a programme of proportionate supplier audits and reviews. These activities are risk-based and focus on suppliers and categories where the potential for labour exploitation may be higher.
Our supplier audits may include review of policies and workforce practices, requests for supporting documentation, and discussions regarding working conditions and recruitment processes. Where concerns arise, we will engage with the supplier to seek remedial action within a reasonable timeframe. If a supplier is unwilling or unable to demonstrate adequate safeguards or to address identified issues, we reserve the right to review, restrict, or terminate the business relationship.
Reporting Channels and Whistleblowing
We encourage anyone connected with our business, including employees, contractors, agency workers, and suppliers, to report any concerns related to modern slavery, human trafficking, or unethical labour practices.
Concerns can be raised directly with management or through existing internal reporting and grievance procedures. Reports can be made confidentially, and we do not tolerate any form of victimisation or retaliation against individuals who raise concerns in good faith. All reports will be treated seriously and, where appropriate, investigated promptly and sensitively.
Training and Awareness
We are working to ensure that key staff, particularly those involved in procurement, supplier management, and recruitment, have an appropriate understanding of modern slavery risks and of our internal procedures. Awareness raising may include induction briefings, periodic reminders, and guidance on how to identify warning signs and how to report concerns.
Annual Review and Continuous Improvement
This Modern Slavery Statement will be reviewed at least annually by the management of Man with Van Hampton Hill. The review will consider any incidents reported, the effectiveness of our supplier audits, changes to legislation or guidance, and feedback from employees and suppliers.
Where necessary, we will update our policies, procedures, and training to reflect evolving best practice and to strengthen our approach to preventing modern slavery. Our aim is to continually improve our systems so that we can identify risks more effectively and respond swiftly and appropriately.
Approval of this Statement
This Modern Slavery Statement has been approved by the management of Man with Van Hampton Hill, who are responsible for ensuring that it is implemented, communicated, and reviewed on an ongoing basis.
